BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University men's soccer team suffered a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Bowdoin College on Tuesday night at Boucher Field.
Bowdoin (3-0) came out fast to start Tuesday's game, as a goal from Tyler Huck just over a minute into the contest set the tone early.
Mateo Pacelli followed Huck's lead as he doubled the Bowdoin lead just 16 seconds later, as the Polar Bears had Husson (2-1-1) on their heels.
Keito Ishibashi finished off a brilliant first three-plus minutes of play for Bowdoin as he made it a three-goal edge for the Polar Bears at the 3:23 mark.
Huck would add a goal to his tally in the 17th minute, in addition to a goal from Adam Prince to close the scoring in the 54th minute.
Bowdoin would outshoot Husson 19-5 on the evening, including a 14-1 dispute in shots on goal and a 6-5 edge in corner kicks.
Sophomores Garrett Jordan and Wessel De Wit split time in net for the Eagles during the game, as Jordan made five saves on nine shots in the first half, while De Wit made four saves on five shots in the second half of play.
Husson is back in action on Saturday when it hosts Salve Regina in non-conference action at 1 p.m.
