CASTINE, Maine – The Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association released its postseason awards this past week and Husson University graduate student Bailey Donovan was selected to the all-state first team.
Donovan earned North Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Year and all-conference first team after finishing the year averaging 17.6 points and 13.7 rebounds per game while shooting 60.8 percent from the floor, 35.7 percent from 3-point range and 84.6 percent from the free throw line. Donovan tallied 54 assists, 38 steals and 48 blocks to go along with an impressive nine 20-point efforts, three 30-point performances and two 20-rebound games. Additionally, Donovan finished the year with 20 double-doubles and was named to the New England Women's Basketball Association All-Region Fourth Team.
