WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference unveiled its weekly awards for men's basketball on Monday and Husson University freshman Connor Heald earned rookie of the week honors.
Heald averaged 11 points per game in Husson's two wins over Maine Maritime Academy and Thomas College this past week.
Heald scored a career-best 12 points against Maine Maritime, in addition to four rebounds, while tallying 10 points in Waterville this past Saturday against Thomas, while also grabbing four more rebounds.
The Eagles return to action on Friday when they host the University of Maine-Presque Isle at 7:30 p.m.
