WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — The Husson University men's swimming & diving team returned to the pool on Saturday beating both the University of Saint Joseph and Plymouth State University, by finals of 163-68 and 168-51.
The Eagles started off the day strong winning the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:46.25 as junior

Alex Walsh swam to a first-place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle winning by over 1:30 with a time of 10:54.53.

Brayden Champlin kept the Eagles dominating performance going by winning the 200-yard freestyle with a personal-best time of 1:56.71, while Peiser finished third with a mark of 2:02.24.

Brady Hand and Brown finished second and third in the 50-yard backstroke with times of 27.10 and 30.79, respectively.

Bennett Walker finished second and fourth in the 50-yard breaststroke with times of 30.99 and 35.92, while senior
Hunter Jackson won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 59.51 and fellow senior
Nathan Gilliam finished third with a 1:05.55.
Both Emerson and Walsh finished back-to-back in the 50-yard freestyle with times of 22.79 and 23.44, respectively, while Perkins posted a top-five performance with a 24.50.
Hand dominated the 100-yard freestyle, winning with a time of 51:04, followed by Walker who posted a 57.49 to finish second.
Emerson added his second individual win on the day in the 100-yard backstroke, clocking a time of 56.98, while Walsh posted a 59.75 to finish third.
Perkins and Fendl finished third and fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke with times of 1:09.37 and 1:14.30.
Jackson earned his second win on the day in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:32.15, while Brown finished fourth with a 6:19.60.
Peiser and Champlin finished first and second in the 50-yard butterfly with times of 25:08 and 25.82, while Jackson clocked a 28:05 to finish fourth.
Gilliam, Fendl and Brown finished third, fourth and fifth in the 100-yard IM with times of 1:06.78, 1:08.17 and 1:10.18, respectively, while Husson's 200-yard freestyle relay team of Emerson, Walker, Champlin and Peiser won with mark of 1:32.96. Additionally, the Eagles 200-yard freestyle relay team of Hand, Gilliam, Walsh and Perkins finished third with a 1:36.49.
Next up for the Eagles is a showdown against Norwich University on the road Saturday.
