PORTLAND, Maine — The Husson University women's tennis team advanced to the North Atlantic Conference championship on Sunday following an 8-1 win over SUNY Delhi on Saturday in the NAC semifinals.
Husson (7-2) dropped its No. 1 doubles match to SUNY Delhi (4-8) in a hard-fought 8-6 battle, but evened the match at 1-1 with an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles as senior
Olivia Chandler and sophomore
Kayla Lockhart picked up the win.
The Eagles earned a win by forfeit at No. 3 doubles to take a 2-1 lead heading into singles action.

Julia Barber picked up a 6-0, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles, while graduate student
Emily Doten won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.

Joey Lynn Ramsdell sealed the victory for the Eagles with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles, followed by Lockhart winning 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 and Chandler and Albert pickup up wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.
Husson will now battle top seeded Lesley University at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
