HAMPDEN, Maine – The Husson University women's tennis team suffered their first defeat of the season on Saturday afternoon at the Armstrong Tennis Center as they lost, 8-1, to Eastern Nazarene in North Atlantic Conference action.
The lone Eagles (3-1, 1-1 NAC) point came in the doubles action as the third pairing of senior
Emily Doten and sophomore
Joey Lynn Ramsdell defeated the Lions' (4-2, 3-0 NAC) third doubles pairing, 8-5.
Freshman
Kayla Lockhart came close to grabbing a point for the Eagles in the fifth singles match, but she fell in a tiebreak (3-6, 6-3, 4-10).
Women's tennis plays one more match this weekend when they host Lesley University for a NAC matchup set for Old Town High School at 10:30 a.m.
