BANGOR, Maine – Husson University announced the hiring of James "JT" Sandoval to the Eagle's athletic training staff on Wednesday.

"We are very excited to welcome JT's ambition and energy to our staff," said assistant athletic trainer Evan Paradis. "It is easy to see how excited he is about this opportunity as well. JT has hit the ground running and I foresee him being a great fit for our athletes and the Husson community."

Prior to joining the staff at Husson, Sandoval started his athletic training career as an athletic training student at Northern Michigan University, where he assisted with football, men's ice hockey and women's volleyball. After his stint with the Wildcats, Sandoval moved on to the USA National Training Site, where he also held the position of athletic training student and assisted with USA wrestling and weight lifting. Sandoval's final stop before coming to Bangor was at Benedictine University, where he completed an immersive internship and assisted with the school's men's lacrosse program. Â

Sandoval is a native of Marquette, Michigan, where he attended Northern Michigan University and earned his Bachelors of Science in Sports Science in 2021 and his Masters of Science in Athletic Training in 2023.
