BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University men's lacrosse team saw 13 different players as they defeated Northern-Vermont Lyndon by the final score of 22-5 in the regular season finale at Boucher Field on Saturday night.
The Eagles (9-7, 4-4 NAC) scored five goals in the opening five minutes including one just eight seconds into the contest as they led 15-3 at the half. In the second half, the Eagles outscored the Hornets (1-7, 0-7 NAC), 7-2.
Freshman
Kolton Gillilian led the Eagles attack with five goals while five different players scored twice including senior
Daniel Weed, and sophomore
Max Sturm who found the back of the net for first two times in their college career. Freshman
Quinn Lucas and junior
Gabe Chery also recorded their first collegiate goals in the victory. Freshman
Cohen Trnka and freshman
Odin Burk each played a half in tthe victory for a combined seven saves.
The men's lacrosse team now awaits the remaining games in North Atlantic Conference action to see if they will qualify for the tournament.
