BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University women's lacrosse team opened their 2023 season on Tuesday afternoon as they collected a 10-4 victory over the Corsairs of UMass Dartmouth at Boucher Field.

It took two minutes for the Eagles to regain the lead as sophomore Natalie Whitten recorded her second assist of the day thanks to Bakers' second goal of the game. Less than 30 seconds later, freshman Laela Martinez sprinted on a 35-yard run before tucking the ball into the net for her first collegiate goal an making it 4-2 Husson. The Corsairs would add one before halftime as the Eagles held a 4-3 lead after thirty minutes of action.
