Box Score VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Husson men's lacrosse team suffered their first defeat of the season with a 20-4 loss to the Marlins of Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon at Birdsong Field.
The Marlins (2-1) started the contest strong as they scored the first nine goals before sophomore
Nathan Vibber put Husson on the board on the stroke of halftime.
The second half saw junior
Danny Carter score his second consecutive hat trick as he tallied three goals including a man up goal as the Eagles dropped the non-conference contest. Sophomore
Sean Lyne recorded an assist on the first goal.
Three goals took part in the contest for the Eagles as freshman
Andrew Hurst started the contest and made ten saves in the first half. Freshman
Cohen Trnka started the second half, and made 11 saves before freshman
Odin Burk took over for the final five minutes as he made a save.
The team will take tomorrow off before traveling to Lynchburg, Va. to take on Randolph College on Monday with the opening face-off set for 6 p.m. at WildCat Stadium.
