BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University women's swimming & diving team won 12 out of the 16 events in its home dual meet against Maine Maritime Academy as the Eagles defeated the Mariners 163-131 on Sunday afternoon inside Webber Pool.
Husson opened the day by winning the 400-yard medley relay, behind a time of 4:36.17 from junior

The Eagles won the 200-yard freestyle with Payson narrowly out touching Maine Maritime sophomore Rayelle Brewer by .34 one hundredth of a second, finishing the race with a time of 2:06.66. Payson later added the 50-yard freestyle and the 50-yard butterfly to the Husson win column with times of 27.48 and 29.01.
Madden and junior
Grace Rocheleau went 1-2 in the 50-yard breaststroke with respective times of 37.15 and 38.80. Hand then made it back-to-back events wins for Husson with a time of 1:04.07 in the 100-yard butterfly.
Sophomore
Riley Mahoney won the five-dive one-meter optionals with a score of 148.55 and the six-dive one-meter event with 200.55 points to become the third diver in program history to surpass the 200-point plateau in the six-dive one-meter diving event.
Hand won the 100-yard freestyle for the Eagles with a time of 56.94, the fifth fastest time in program history and Rocheleau swam a 1:25.58 to clinch the 100-yard breaststroke. Madden then doubled down by winning the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:57.30 and the 100-yard individual medley in 1:09.62.
Up next, Husson will compete at the State of Maine Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Championship, hosted by Colby College. The meet will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday, December 1.
