BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University men's swimming & diving team cruised past Gordon College for a 120-88 dual meet victory on Saturday afternoon inside Webber Pool.
The Eagles opened the meet with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay with junior

Nathan Gilliam tied the Frighting Scots' team of junior Zach Barneson, freshman James Branaugh, senior John Sullivan and sophomore Major Adair for second place. Each relay team swam a time of 1:53.35.

Alex Walsh captured the 1,000-yard freestyle with a blistering time of 10:43.91. Next, Hand took home the 200-yard freestyle for the Eagles, breaking the two-minute mark with a 1:54.97. Therio (1:01.39) and sophomore
Jacob Brown (1:08.41) finished 1-2 in the 100-yard backstroke.
Husson continued their winning ways in the 100-yard breaststroke event with Emerson taking the event with a time of 1:05.67.
Gilliam, Jackson, Peiser went 1-2-3 in the 200-yard butterfly for Husson. Gilliam won the event in 2:15.62, followed by Jackson in 2:16.65 and Peiser in 2:35.48. Walsh picked up his second victory of the meet for the Eagles in the 50-yard freestyle in 23.14 before graduate student

Matt Steeves (139.90) finished 1-2 in the five-dive one-meter optionals.
Hand and Therio finished 1-2 in the 100-yard freestyle, with Hand winning in 51.25 and Therio finishing in 53.60. Brown captured the Eagles' final race of the afternoon as he won the 200-yard backstroke in 2:31.06.
Husson will next compete at Webber Pool tomorrow at noon against Maine Maritime Academy.
