STANDISH, Maine - The Husson University women's swimming & diving team set a new program record for dual-meet wins in a single-season on Saturday afternoon when they earned their seventh victory of the season with a sweep of a triple-dual meet with Saint Joseph's College of Maine, Gordon College and Elms College that was held inside the Alfond Center pool on the campus of Saint Joseph's College of Maine.
The Eagles won by scores of 119-68 over the Monks, 131-56 over the Fighting Scots and 135-23 over the Blazers. The previous record of six dual-meet victories was set during the 2015-16 season and tied in the 2019-20 season.

Erin Madden opened the meet with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:05.46.
Junior
Kayla Payson broke the school record in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 19:26.86, good enough to earn the victory in the event. The previous record of 19:42.06 stood for four years. She also picked up a first-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a 5:42.54.
Hand won the 50-yard freestyle in 28.36 and the 100-yard backstroke in 1:07.26.
Emery outpaced the competition in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:29.08, while Madden sprinted to the victory in the 100-yard freestyle to earn the Eagles' final individual win of the meet.

Hannah Soutter closed out the triple-dual meet sweep with a first-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The Eagles earned the win with a time of 4:15.26.
Husson returns the pool on Sunday, January 15 when they travel to Wenham, Mass. for a dual meet with Gordon College. The first race of the meet is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
