BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University women's soccer team put a six spot on the scoreboard as they shutout the SUNY Delhi Broncos by a 6-0 scoreline in North Atlantic Conference action at Boucher Field on Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles firepower found ways to score three in each half while forcing freshman goalkeeper
Madison Weigler to make two saves on the afternoon.
Sophomore
Lindsey Russell broke the door open for the Eagles and senior
Alexa Thayer joined her just minutes later with back to back goals. Freshman
Marila Corletto scored her second goal of the season to close out the first half of scoring as she delieved a perfect free kick into the back of the net.
In the second half, sophomore
Natalie Aviolla was taken down inside the box and she was able to convert easily on the penalty kick for her fifth of the season. Three minutes later and Aviolla assisted on freshman
Addi Laslie's first collegiate goal. Sophomore
Kate Harriman closed up the scoring in the 55th minute with her third of the season.
The women's soccer team will look to continue their firepower tomorrow as the Fighting Tigers of SUNY Cobleskill come to town for a 2:30 p.m. North Atlantic Conference fixture at Boucher Field.
