BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University field hockey team earned their 100th program victory after a 2-0 shutout victory over the University of Southern Maine Huskies on Thursday night at the Winkin Sports Complex.
Freshman
Maddie Perkins opened the scoring late in the first quarter with her fourth of the season as placed a perfectly aimed shot to the left side of the goalkeeper.
The Eagles kept hunting for an insurance goal and they were finally reward midway through the third quarter via a penalty corner. Junior
Julia Murch passed it to the top of the circle and found senior
Katie Perkins who launched a rocket for her second goal of the season.

Kimmie Goddard recorded a birthday shutout for the Eagles in goal with five saves.
The field hockey team is back on the road on Saturday when they travel to Beverly, Mass., to take on Endicott College for a 1 p.m. matchup.
