BANGOR, Maine — The Husson University volleyball team dropped a hard-fought four set decision to the University of Maine-Fort Kent in non-conference action on Saturday evening.
Fort Kent (3-3) took the opening two sets in Saturday's matchup winning 25-22 in the opening set and 25-20 in set two.
Husson (2-5) rebounded in the third set to win 25-20 to pull within 2-1 of the Bengals, but Fort Kent managed to overcome a 23-20 deficit to pick up a 26-24 set four win.
Sophomore
Julia Leavitt finished with a game-high 19 kills while senior
Cheyenne Young added 12 kills and only three errors for a .231 hitting percentage.
Sophomore
Alyvia McIntyre tallied 27 assists and 15 digs for a double-double. While Young tallied 14 digs for the Eagles second double-double of the contest.
Graduate student
Amber Lemay tied for a game-high 18 digs and fellow graduate student
Adrienne Beatty also recorded double-digit digs with 14.
The Eagles will look to bounce back on Tuesday when they finish a home-and-home with the Bengals on the road at 7 p.m.
