Box Score LYNDONVILLE, Vt. — The Husson University men's basketball team dropped a 111-80 decision to Northern Vermont University-Lyndon in North Atlantic Conference action on the road Saturday.
NVU-Lyndon (6-13, 3-6 NAC) opened Saturday's conference meeting shooting lights out from the floor taking a 51-37 advantage over Husson (11-8, 8-2) at the halftime break finishing 56.3 percent from behind the 3-point arc.
The Hornets extended their advantage in the final frame winning the half 60-43 over Husson to split the weekend series.
Graduate senior Justin Thompson and senior Brett Cunningham led the way for Husson with 11 points apiece, while sophomore Jared Balser finished with double digits at 10 points.
Senior's DJ Bussey and J Thomas finished with nine points each while freshman Corey Humbles and senior Justice Kendall added eight points apiece.
The Eagles return to action on Tuesday when they travel to the University of Maine-Presque Isle for a 5:30 p.m. NAC meeting.
