Utica, N.Y. — The Husson University women's basketball team dropped a hard-fought 76-57 decision to SUNY Poly on Saturday in the North Atlantic Conference Championship. 

SUNY Poly opened Saturday's championship on a 20-8 run before holding on to a tight 18-16 second quarter lead to control a 18-24 lead at the break. 

Husson battled back in the second half playing SUNY Poly within 23-22 in the third quarter and 15-11 in the fourth, but the damage had been done early as the Wildcats came away with the 76-57 win.

Senior's Megan Peach and Vanessa Duarte led the way for Husson with Duarte scoring a team-high 21 points and dishing out a game-high five assits. While Peach tallied an 18-point, 13-rebound double-double with eight offensive boards. 

With the loss, the Eagles conclude their season.
