REDLANDS, Calif. – The Husson University men's basketball team took their talents to The Golden State to take on the Bulldogs of the University of Redlands on Thursday night as they fell, 101-65, at Currier Gym.
It was the Bulldogs (7-3) who jumped out to a great start scoring the first seven points before senior Derek Collin got the Eagles (3-7) on the board with a layup. Threes from junior Scott Lewis and senior J Thomas would keep the game within three in the first five minutes before the Bulldogs put together 11 consecutive points en route to a 51-28 halftime lead.
The University of Redlands continued their offense scoring power in the second half as they eclipsed the 100 point mark in the victory.
Thomas led the green and gold in scoring with 14 points while Collin added 12 and junior Jeremy Moronta scored 11 and dished out five assists.
It will be a quick turnaround for the men's basketball team as they will travel to Los Angeles to take on Occidental College for a 10 p.m. EST or 7 p.m. PST.
