BIDDEFORD, Maine — The Husson University football team will represent the Commonwealth Coast Conference in the 2022 New England Bowl Series, it was announced by the New England Football Bowl Committee on Monday.

Husson (5-5, 4-2 CCC) will host Plymouth State University (8-2, 6-2 MASCAC) on Saturday, Nov. 19 at noon. Both teams met earlier this season in Bangor with Plymouth State coming away with a 17-0 win.Â

Nat Clark, Husson claimed a second-place finish in the CCC to earn the Eagles' first-ever New England Bowl bid. The Eagles are led by junior quarterback
Nic Visser who registered a CCC-best 220 passing yards per game, while tossing 14 touchdowns, third-highest by a CCC signal caller in 2022. On the defensive side of the ball, junior linebacker
Tucker Buzzell led all CCC defenders with 11.8 tackles per game.

The New England Bowl Committee is comprised of commissioners of four NCAA Division III conferences: the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC), the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC), and the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC).

The 2022 edition of the New England Bowl Series marks the fifth time that the commissioners are presenting multiple games to reward deserving teams from conferences based in the New England region.

Ticket prices for the New England Bowl are $10 for adults, $6 for children, two-and-under get in free and $5 for students.Â
