Women's soccer record back-to-back shutouts in victory over SUNY Canton

Box Score CANTON, N.Y. - The Husson University women's soccer team faced zero shots for the second consective game as they defeated SUNY Canton, 5-0, in North Atlantic Conference action on Sunday afternoon. 

It didn't take long for the Eagles (7-6-1, 6-0-1 NAC) to find the opener as senior Charlotte Messer scored her fourth goal in two games with a strike in the 3rd minute of the contest. Midway through first half, the Eagles were able to double the lead as freshman Addi Laslie put home a shot from senior Willow Whitten to give the Eagles' a 2-0 lead at the break. 

Sophomore Natalie Aviolla put on a show in the second half with two goals while senior Katie Raymond scored her first goal of the season. 

Freshman Madison Weigler and the Eagles' defense kept the Roos outside of the attacking third as the Roos didn't attempt a single shot. 

The women's soccer team will return to Maine tonight and head back to Vermont on Saturday as they will take on the Hornets of Northern Vermont-Lyndon for the NAC matchup at 3:30 p.m.
