Box Score WATERVILLE, Maine - The Husson men's basketball team visited the Margaret M. Cook Arena on Tuesday night as they dropped a 88-67 decision to the Colby Mules in non-conference action. With the loss, the Eagles fall to 5-7 while the Mules move to .500 at a 8-8 record.
The Eagles and Mules exchanged points early on but the Eagles struggled in the latter part of the first half as they shot 4-of-19 to conclude the first half. Graduate student Justin Thompson scored 13 in the half as the Eagles trailed 40-28 at the break.
The Mules continued to stretch the lead as they outscored the Eagles, 48-39, in the second half en route to the non-conference victory over Husson.
The Eagles were led by Thompson who had a game-high 22 points off the bench while senior J Thomas had 11. For the starters, senior Justice Kendall added 13 points and senior Jon Massaad collected eight rebounds.
The Mules were led by Lucas Green and Alec McGovern who each had 14 points while Noah Tyson recorded ten rebounds.
The Eagles will be back in action on Friday, January 21st at 5:30 p.m when they host the Beavers of the University of Maine at Farmington at Newman Gym. Fans are reminded that they must mask up in order to attend the game.
