Box Score BANGOR, Maine — Six players scored in double-digits as Husson University men's basketball rolled past Cazenovia College 99-59 in North Atlantic Conference action on Saturday.
Husson (5-6, 2-1 NAC) jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on Saturday and never trailed as senior Justice Kendall got the scoring started and led all players with a game-high 19.
Cazenovia (4-11, 1-5 NAC) pulled within 19-10 of the Eagles with just over 11 minutes remaining in the first half, but Husson ended the half on a 27-18 scoring run to control a 46-28 advantage at the half.
The Eagles continued their hot shooting from the field to open the second half as junior Luke Caruso caught fire from behind the 3-point arc hitting three of his four 3-pointers on the afternoon in route to a career-high 12 points.
Husson finished the afternoon shooting an impressive 57.4 percent from the floor and 50 percent from behind the 3-point line.
Senior DJ Bussey finished with 18 points and five assists, while Kendall dished out a game-high eight assists.
Sophomore Milos Sujica turned in one of his best games in the green and gold with a career-high 10 points, six rebounds, four steals and two blocks.
Additionally, senior Brett Cunningham added 14 points and eight rebounds, while graduate transfer AJ Barnes rounded out the Eagles players in double-digits with 10 points.
Freshman Corey Humbles finished with nine points and a game-high nine rebounds as Husson controlled a 44-36 edge on the glass.
The Eagles return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Colby College for a 7 p.m. non-conference tip-off.
