BANGOR, Maine - The Husson women's volleyball team opened North Atlantic Conference (NAC) East Division play with a 3-1 (25-21, 26-24, 25-18)  loss to the University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI) on Wednesday night inside Newman Gym.

With the win, the UMPI Owls improve to 2-6 overall and 1-0 NAC East while Husson falls to 2-10 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

LEADERS – HUSSON:

• Cheyenne Young contributed a team-high eight kills and one total block.
• Sophia Pagliarini tallied six kills, an ace, two digs and five total blocks.
• Alyvia McIntyre notched 32 assists, eight digs, and two aces.
• Julia Leavitt registered seven kills with two digs and three total blocks.
• Karimah Land had six kills and seven total blocks.

LEADERS – UMPI:

• Rachel Walker delivered seven kills with 22 digs and three aces.
• Kaya Amoroso dealt 19 assists with an ace, two digs, and one total block.
• Kylee Blazick posted 17 digs and an assist.
• Alondra Lopez added six kills and an ace.

Husson will play at both Northern Vermont-Lyndon and Northern Vermont-Johnson on Saturday at 12:00 p.m and 4:00 p.m.
