Box Score 2 QUINCY, Mass. – In the Eastern Nazarene volleyball tournament, the host Lions bounced back from an opening round loss to beat Husson University in three sets, 25-21. 25-20, 25-18 on Saturday morning. Eastern Nazarene improved to 3-5 on the season while Husson fell to 2-4.
The Eagles were led by Cheyenne Young, who had six kills. Sophie Pagliarini and Julie Leavitt each had five kills.
Alyvia McIntyre also had 24 assists.
In each game, the Eagles fell behind early and struggled to come from behind. In the first game, Husson trailed by 24-17 before staging a rally that cut the deficit to 24-21 before the Lions pulled out the win. The Lions built a 19-9 advantage in the second game en route to the win. In the third game, Eastern Nazarene jumped out to a 9-4 earl lead and held to earn the victory.
Emma Graves led Eastern Nazarene with 13 kills while Eliana Baran added 10 kills.
Husson closes out tournament play on Saturday afternoon when the Eagles face Regis at 2:00.
