Box Score QUINCY, Mass. - An old conference rivalry was renewed in the Eastern Nazarene Invitational on Friday night as the Husson University volleyball team fell to the Colby-Sawyer College Chargers, 3-2, at Lahue Athletic Center.
The Eagles fall to 2-3 while the Chargers are the opposite at 3-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Eagles and Chargers went back and forth in the first set but a 5-0 and 6-0 propelled Colby-Sawyer to win the first set, 25-17. The Chargers committed only four errors in the set while the Eagles had 12.
In the second set, the Eagles came back from 9-2 and 18-10 to force the set to go into a tiebreaker but the Chargers were able to win the both points at 25 all to win the set 27-25.
The Eagles began the third set on the front foot by taking a 6-2 lead but Colby-Sawyer came back. The Eagles then took a 15-10 advantage but the Chargers forced the tiebreaker and unlike the second set the Eagles scored the first two points to win 27-25.
The fourth set saw the Eagles jump out by three early and the trade off of points saw the Eagles win the fourth set, 25-19. Husson forced Colby-Sawyer into 13 errors while only committing six.
The fifth set was tied at two until the Chargers scored the next two points and the Eagles couldn't recover as Colby-Sawyer won the final set, 15-10.
FOR HUSSON:
Cheyanne Young and Sophia Pagliarini each had 15 and 13 kills, respectfully. Adrienne Beatty had 17 digs while Alyvia McIntyre had 14 digs and 36 assists.
FOR COLBY-SAWYER:
Olivia Werner and Makaila Blinne had 12 and 11 kills, respectfully. While Anna Allen had 42 assists and ten digs.

Husson is back at it tomorrow for a doubleheader as first they face off with the host of Eastern Nazarene at 10 a.m. then take on Regis at 2 p.m.
