Box Score BANGOR, Maine - After a first quarter which ended with the Thomas College women's basketball team (0-2) in the lead, 8-4, Husson University (3-0) went on to score 28 in the second quarter to close out the game early.
IN THE ACTION:
A back-and-forth beginning to the second quarter and a deep three-point shot saw Thomas take the lead 17-14. Building up a comeback on the Husson bench, the Ealges broke out on a 16-0 run where Trinity Montigny hit a three-pointer to give Husson their first lead of the game with 4:47 left in the half. Just as the half was about to end, Luci Rothwell nailed a buzzer beater with one second to go, bringing the Eagles to a 32-19 advantage headed into halftime.
Katherine Alley opened up the third quarter netting a shot from beyond the arc herself, expanding the score gap to 16. The Eagles kept their foot on the gas, ending the quarter with a Sydney Allen layup, putting the team up by 20 going into the fourth.
Halfway through the final quarter, Bailey Donovan hit a layup that kicked off a 12-0 run where Emma Alley had two of her five assists of the day. The game was capped off with Amanda D'Amico and Montigny hitting back-to-back three pointers, bringing the final lead to 30 points.

In her first start as an Eagle, Trinity Montigny led the Eagles in scoring with her 13 points, shooting 60% from beyond the three point line.

Bailey Donovan once again put up a double-double, scoring 12 points and adding 12 rebounds in the game.

Emma Alley contributed all over the court, racking up eight points, five assists, and three steals.

Alydia Brillant led the Terriers again with 15 points and added a team-leading six rebounds.
