Box Score LYNDONVILLE, Vermont - The Husson University Men's Basketball team (4-0) completed the weekend sweep of Northern Vermont-Lyndon (1-3), picking up a 111-92 victory on Sunday afternoon.
IN THE ACTION:
The opening minutes of the first half saw back-and-forth action from both teams, before DJ Bussey went on a solo 7-0 run to give the Eagles a 19-13 advantage with just over 12 minutes remaining in the half. A Scott Lewis basket pushed the visitors lead to ten, but the Hornets soon responded with a jumper from Tyrese Harris, bringing the home team back within three points. Brett Cunningham added a pair of points from the charity stripe and a jumper as the Eagles would take a 53-41 lead into the intermission.
Husson wasted no time picking up where they left off as Isaac Varney opened the second half with back-to-back scores from behind the arc. The Green and Gold would take a 22 point lead over the Hornets on a three-pointer from Lewis, who scored 11 of his 17 points in the second half. James Lindsay gave the Eagles their largest advantage of the afternoon, 111-81 with just under three minutes remaining in the contest, as Husson would go on to capture a 111-92 victory over NVU-Lyndon.

Bussey led the Eagles in scoring, contributing 21 points and three rebounds.

Peyton Olsen once again led the way for the Hornets, chipping in 21 points, five rebounds and three assists in the loss.

Lewis and Justin Thompson each picked up a double-double off the bench in the Eagles' victory, combining for 32 points, four steals and 22 rebounds.

The Eagles scored an impressive 59 points off the bench and held a 56-42 advantage in rebounds.
