Box Score BANGOR, Maine - Junior Bailey Donovan scored 29 points as the Husson University women's basketball team dropped a non-conference meeting with the Colby College Mules, 68-56, on Tuesday night at Newman Gym. The Eagles drop to 2-2 on the season while the Mules remain perfect at 3-0.
The Colby Mules started out the contest with the first six points but the Eagles responded with eight straight points as they led by as much as four. The Mules answered back at the end of the quarter with seven straight points to give the Mules a, 18-15, lead after the first. In the second quarter, it was a defensive battle with a combined 24 points scored as Colby led by seven at the break.
The second half was much of the same as the Eagles struggled to find offense all night. The Mules broke the game open in the third quarter as they led by as much as 19. The Eagles fought back and lowered the deficit to as little as nine points as the Mules won, 68-56.
