CASTINE, Maine -  The Maine Maritime Mariners defeated the Husson University women's soccer team late in the second half 2-1 on Ritchie Field on Sunday afternoon in the North Atlantic Conference East Divisional Final. With the win, the Mariners advanced to the NAC Championship Game with a 9-6 record.

The Eagles scored the only goal of the first half in the 28th minute as Molly Ennis delivered a brillant over the top ball and Shannon Dowd was there to slide the shot home. Dowd's second goal of the weekend, as well as Ennis' second assist of the weekend. 

Maine Maritime found an equalizer at the start of the second half via Emma White then scored the winner in the 89th minute thanks to an excellent finish from MacKenzie Carter. 

Shie Smith made four saves for the Eagles while Bess MacArthur stopped two shots for the Mariners. 

The Eagles season has come to a close with a 11-4-2 overall record.
