BANGOR, Maine - Husson University Athletics would like to take the months of May and June to recognize the 2019-20 Eagle Award winners who would have been honored at the annual Eagle Award Banquet.

The Eagle Award winners are named by the head coach and coaching staff. Each coach may only select one winner per team. This honor is presented to those student-athletes who stand out as exemplary teammates and show what it means to be a true "Husson Eagle."

The Husson Dance Team Eagle Award winner of 2019-20 is Maria Andrew. 

Head coach Hillary Hoyt has a few words she would like to share in honor of Maria Andrew:

"Maria Andrew is a fantastic and hard working member of the dance team. She comes to every practice and event ready to go. Not only is she a talented dancer, but she works hard in all aspects of school and truly shows what a student-athlete should be. Whether it be a performance or competition, her energy is contagious and can help to motivate the whole team. She has been a fantastic captain this year and helped to keep the team's moral up even when our competition season was cut short! She will be missed next year!"
