Box Score

JOHNSON, Vermont - The Husson women's basketball team (13-7, 10-0 NAC) soared past the NVU-Johnson Badgers (2-18, 2-8 NAC) by a score of 80-39 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on Saturday behind a double-double from first year Bailey Donovan.

IN THE ACTION:

After trailing the Badgers 5-4 in the opening minutes of the game, Donovan jump started the Eagles with a lay-up to regain the lead. The green and gold ended the first-quarter on a 15-3 run, to end the frame with a 20-7 advantage. The Eagles offense stayed hot in the second quarter as Sydney Allen scored eight of her 12 points in the quarter, allowing the visitors to take a 36-17 lead into the locker room.

Extending the Eagles' lead, 45-23, midway through the third quarter, Allen drained a shot from behind the arc as Braylee Wildman joined the scoring action adding a lay-up from underneath the basket. Husson held the Badgers offense scoreless in the final four minutes of the game, before back-to-back buckets by Joan Overman sealed the victory for the Eagles.
