Box Score JOHNSON, Vermont - The Husson women's basketball team (13-7, 10-0 NAC) soared past the NVU-Johnson Badgers (2-18, 2-8 NAC) by a score of 80-39 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on Saturday behind a double-double from first year Bailey Donovan.
IN THE ACTION:
After trailing the Badgers 5-4 in the opening minutes of the game, Donovan jump started the Eagles with a lay-up to regain the lead. The green and gold ended the first-quarter on a 15-3 run, to end the frame with a 20-7 advantage. The Eagles offense stayed hot in the second quarter as Sydney Allen scored eight of her 12 points in the quarter, allowing the visitors to take a 36-17 lead into the locker room.
Extending the Eagles' lead, 45-23, midway through the third quarter, Allen drained a shot from behind the arc as Braylee Wildman joined the scoring action adding a lay-up from underneath the basket. Husson held the Badgers offense scoreless in the final four minutes of the game, before back-to-back buckets by Joan Overman sealed the victory for the Eagles. The green and gold remain undefeated in NAC play after an 80-39 victory for the season sweep against NVU-Johnson.

Donovan posted a double double in the victory, contributing a game-high 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Allen pitched in 15 points, seven rebounds and a team-high six steals.

Vanessa Duarte scored 10 points off the bench, including shooting 67% from downtown off the bench.

Amorette Rodriguez led the Badgers with 13 points, two rebounds and an assist.

The Eagles shot 50% from the field compared to the Badgers' 25.8%, while holding a 50-23 advantage in rebounds and a 27-13 edge in points off the bench.
