SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Husson University women's field hockey (0-4) fell, 10-3, to Springfield College (4-1) on Saturday afternoon at Stagg Field.

THE SCOOP:

Springfield's Kyra Ashe opened up the scoring just 3:55 into the game after taking a feed from Amanda Nusbaum at the five-yard mark and knocking it home. Husson answered back to tie the score at one, off a goal from Allison Leighton at 9:12. Just 45 seconds later, Ashe netted an assist from Taylor Conley when she slotted in her bid into the bottom right corner. Conley followed up with a pair of goals at the 15:03 and 25:31 marks to put the Pride up 4-2 going into the half, after Kelly Griffin knocked one home for the Eagles, assist credited to Taylor Ouellette. 

By the 62nd minute, the Pride had tallied an additional five goals to bring the score to 9-2. Under three minutes later, Sadie Royer capped off the final goal for the Eagles that afternoon before Springfield captured the 10-3 victory. 

Nusbaum amassed four assists on the day for the Pride while Conley netted a career-high four goals and Ashe delivered a hat trick in her first collegiate start. For the Eagles, Leighton and Griffin both achieved their first collegiate goals while Royer recorded her first of the season.  

THE KEEPERS: 

Andrea Shaggy tallied 13 saves in net for the Eagles while on the other side of the field, Emmalie Drake turned away five shots.  

TEAM STATS: 

The Pride outshot the Eagles, 34-8.
