Men's Soccer Comes up Short, 2-1, in the NAC Semifinals to Thomas

Box Score

WATERVILLE, Maine –The Thomas College men's soccer team scored twice in the first 16 minutes to take a 2-1 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Semifinal win over Husson University on an eventful stormy evening of action playing on two different fields at two different universities, after an unfortunate power outage occurred in the middle of the game.

THE SCOOP:

Thomas' MacQuille Walker took a feed from teammate Adam LaBrie and buried the opening goal of the game in the 8th minute to give the Terriers an early 1-0 lead. Justin Bell made it 2-0 in the 16th minute of the match on his fifth of the season to send Thomas into the break with the lead.

The Eagles pulled within one late in the game with nine minutes left in regulation, on a goal by Joao Passoni, but were unable to get the equalizer as the Terriers took the 2-1 win.

BETWEEN THE POSTS:

Jonathan Dutka picked up the win for Thomas, stopping three shots on goal. Kyle Townsend made two stops in the loss for the Eagles.
