Box Score FARMINGTON, Maine - The Husson field hockey team (2-12, 1-3 NAC) dropped their regular season finale at the University of Maine at Farmington (2-12, 1-3 NAC) by the final score of 5-1 at Prescott Field in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play on Thursday afternoon.
THE SCOOP:
The Beavers jumped out to a quick lead as Rylie Turner scored in just the second minute of the game off a pass from Kasey Talarico. The Eagles responded 20 minutes later, as Sadie Royer tied the game at ones.
UMaine-Farmington reclaimed the lead in the final seconds of the first half as Emma Martineau scored off a penalty corner from Andrea Stemm.
The Beavers finished off the scoring within a ten-minute span in the second half. Emma Martineau found her second goal of the night followed by Kyla Sturtevant and Torrie Nightingale capping off the score, 5-1, with Stemm chipping in three assists for the Beaver victory.
BETWEEN THE POSTS:
Andrea Shaggy recorded five saves while Grace DiMarco made a single save to preserve the win for the Beavers.
TEAM STATS:
The Beavers tallied 15 shots to the Eagles' four shots while also holding an advantage in penalty corners, 15-7.

Closing out the season ranked as the No. 2 seed, Husson will host the No. 3 seed UMaine-Farmington on Wednesday, October 31st in the NAC Quarterfinals at Winkin Sports Complex. The time of the game will be announced later in the week.
