Box Score 4 BANGOR, Maine - Husson University dominated the court this weekend, claiming the title at the 4th Annual Husson Invitational after shutting out UMaine-Machias, College of St. Joseph (Vt.), UMaine-Presque Isle, and Unity, 3-0, at the Newman Gymnasium.
Husson def. UMaine-Machias, 3-0 (25-12,25-18, 25-7) – Saturday
The Eagles started off the tournament with a bang, taking down UMaine-Machias in kills (33-12), assists (25-7), service aces (12-4), and digs (22-15).
HUSSON LEADERS
- Hembrow contributed 12 assists, six kills in ten attempts, and four service aces
- Mooers recorded 12 assists along with two service aces
- Woods chimed in with six digs and three kills
- Chisholm added five digs
- Cote delivered eight kills in 12 attempts
- Power racked in eight kills
- Arranaga tallied four service aces along with four kills in six attempts
Husson def. College of St. Joseph (Vt.), 3-0 (25-11,25-11,25-11) – Saturday
Husson outpaced the Saints in kills (27-8), assists (26-8) and service aces (23-3) to improve to 2-0 in invitational play.

- Mooers tallied five kills, seven assists and six service aces
- Chisholm recorded 12 digs

Husson def. Maine-Presque Isle, 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-22) – Sunday
The Eagles kicked off Sunday with three close matches against Maine-Presque Isle, overpowering them in kills (36-31), service aces (8-5), and assists (32-27).
HUSSON LEADERS
- Cote netted eight kills in 17 attempts with two solo blocks and two block assists
- Mooers tallied seven kills and five digs
- Woods contributed seven kills in 22 attempts along with five digs
- Power added on six kills and three digs
- Arranaga delivered five service aces and five kills in 13 attempts

- Hembrow helped out with 23 assists along with five digs
Husson def. Unity College, 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-23) – Sunday
Husson closed out invitational play with a shutout victory over Unity College with the help of kills (32-17), assists (28-15) and aces (13-6).
