FORT KENT, Maine – Husson University women's volleyball had a rough Saturday at the University of Maine-Fort Kent, dropping both matches 0-3. The Eagles (7-5) put up a battle with scores of 11-2 5, 16-25, and 16-25 in the first match, then 15-25, 16-25, and 13-25 in the second match of the day.

Husson entered into the first set with an offensive mindset, sending 40 total attacks over the net. Bailey Cote was unstoppable in all six sets, blasting over 12 total kills. Kaitlyn Woods and Mary Grace Power contributed five and four kills to the Eagles' attack. Kayli Doten and Cote dished out the lone serving aces for Husson on Saturday. 

In the first match, Riley Mooers was extremely helpful tossing up eight assists while Hanna Hembrow added on six. Hembrow blew everyone away, setting up 15 of Husson's 16 assists in the next three sets. On the defensive end, Hembrow continued to impress, racking up eight digs by the end of the day. Cote trailed with six digs and Katelyn McKenzie grabbed four.

The Eagles will venture south to compete against the University of Southern Maine for the first time this season on Tuesday, September 19 at 7 p.m.
