Box Score BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University men's basketball team picked up its 10th straight victory over Maine Maritime Academy by a score of 90-57 on Saturday afternoon in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action inside Newman Gym.
FIRST GLANCE:
Senior Raheem Anderson netted a game-high of 21 points while grabbing seven rebounds and going 5-6 on the free throw line to help the Eagles soar over the Mariners.
REST OF THE STORY:
Within 10 minutes of the game, the Eagles had established a 14 point advantage but the Mariners ignited their offense to bring the game within six points (20-14) with 6:23 to go in the first half. Senior Raheem Anderson contributed nine of the next 19 points to give Husson a 39-20 cushion going into halftime.
With the Mariner defense struggling, committing 13 turnovers, the Eagles used it to their advantage by netting a total of 26 points and shooting 47.1% from the field.
At the 39:43 mark, the Mariners had doubled their score (40-69) but Husson continued to push and netted six points within a six second time frame. Freshman guard Cole Thomas nailed a three-point shot with nearly four minutes remaining in regulation to give the Eagles their largest lead of the game, 82-48 and cruised the rest of of the way for a 90-57 victory over the Mariners.

Senior guard Raheem Anderson netted 21 points while grabbing seven rebounds and five assists. With the 21 points on the afternoon, Anderson now has scored 1,975 career points, leaving him just 25 points shy of joining the 2,000 point club. He would be the third member of the exclusive club in program history and the first in 25 years.
