BANGOR, Maine - Husson and Colby Sawyer played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon in North Atlantic Conference action at Boucher Field.

Husson jumped on the board early when Josh Bellomo passed the ball to Rod Ghanayem between two Colby-Sawyer defenders and Ghanayem eluded the on-rushing goalie with a chip, then coolly rolled it into the back of the net as the Eagles lead 1-0 at the 13:12 mark.

The Eagles remained in front of the Chargers over the next 73 minutes before Denali Sexton scored the equalizer in the 86th minute on an assist from Andrew Clothier.

The game would go scoreless from there on with each team getting scoring opportunities but could not capitalize on them in the extra 20 minutes of play.

Jake Towle made six saves for the Chargers, while Cody Gross recorded ten for the Eagles.

The Chargers outshot the Eagles, 24-17.

"I thought the guys did great today," head coach Gavin Penny said. "They had a hard fought contest, against one of the teams that are gonna be up there in our conference. I think maybe the boys feel like it's two points dropped, but we showed some great response after our loss to Saint Joesph's (Maine) and I'm looking forward to having Colby come on Tuesday."

The Eagles return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 20th when they host Colby for a 7:30 p.m. non-conference game at Boucher Field. The Chargers will host UMass.-Boston on Wednesday, Sept. 21st. with a 2:00 p.m. kickoff.
