Box Score BANGOR, Maine – Victoria McIntyre scored a game-high 12 points to lead the Eagles to a 73-39 win over Lyndon State in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on Friday night in Newman Gym.
Husson (14-5, 12-1 NAC) wins its second straight game, while Lyndon State (4-15, 3-10 NAC) drops its 17th of the 18 matchups to the Eagles and falls to 4-22 in the all-time series.
Husson took a 31-19 lead into halftime courtesy of eight points from Rebecca Young and five from McIntyre and Darla Morales.
The Eagles built up their lead to 24 points with 19 seconds left in the 3rd quarter, thanks in part to baskets by Kenzie Worcester, Chandler Guerrette, Denae Johnson, Morales, and McIntyre and Husson cruise the rest of way for the victory.
McIntyre finished with four assists, six rebounds and seven steals to go along with her 12 points, Guerrette tallied 11 points and a team-high five assists, while Worcester recorded 9 points, four assists and four steals. Johnson added eight points while Anna MacKenzie added seven points and six rebounds off the bench for the Eagles.
Mikayla Hodge finished with eight points, and a game-high 13 rebounds for Lyndon State, while Samantha Thurston chipped in with seven points and four rebounds.
Husson returns to action tomorrow afternoon when they host Johnson State for a 1:00 p.m. conference game. The Eagles have plans to honor the program's two seniors Victoria McIntyre and Rebecca Young. Lyndon State is right back action tomorrow afternoon as well when they travel to Maine Maritime for a 1:00 p.m. conference game.
