WESTON, Mass. – The Husson University men's swimming & diving finished their season on Saturday morning with two dual meet loses to Regis (Mass.) and Bridgewater State. The Pride defeated the Eagles by a score of 192-25 and Husson lost to the Bears by a 190-25 margin.
The Eagles finished their season with a 3-6 record in dual meets, their most wins in 41 years.
Regis (Mass.) defeated Bridgewater State by a score of 173-96 to finish their season with a 9-0 record for their second undefeated dual meet season in a row and the Bears concluded their season with a 4-11 record.
THE RUNDOWN:
- The quartet of Caelan Lecrone, Grant Gerber, Alex Miles, and Colin Vidas combined to finish 4th in the 200 medley relay with a 2:05.35.
- Gerber was 3rd in the 50 breast (31.02) and the 100 Free (53.51).
- Lecrone finished 8th in the 50 free (26.68), swim exhibition in the 100 free (1:00.06) and took 5th in the 50 fly (30.44).
- Miles placed 5th in the 100 fly (1:11.65) and 6th in the 100 free (1:01.04).
- Vidas was 7th the 50 free (26.46) and in the 100 free (1:02.20).
- Gerber, Lecrone, Vidas, and Miles swam together to post a fifth-place finish in the 200 free relay (1:47.23).
Husson returns to the pool in a few weeks when the team travels to the University of Rhode Island for the NEISDA Championships from Friday, February 12th to Sunday, February 14th.
