Box Score Henniker, N.H. – New England College men's basketball guard Dezron Wilson finished with a triple-double finishing with a game-high 25 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists as the Pilgrims fell to the visiting Husson University Eagles 103-89 Friday evening.
With the win the Eagles improve to 13-4 on the season and 10-1 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play. The loss drops the Pilgrims to 5-13 overall and 2-9 in the NAC.
PILGRIM LEADERS
In addition to Wilson, NEC was led by Tyrone Jackson who finished with 13 points and Jakhalil Smith who chipped in 10 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Ricky Leonard recorded 11 points and Frantzy Georges was the only other Pilgrim in double-figures finishing with 10.
EAGLE LEADERS
Husson's Darryl Wood led the Eagles with 20 points on 8-for-10 shooting and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds. Raheem Anderson finished with a team-high 21 points in 26 minutes of play, while Trevon Butler chipped in 16 points and dished out four assists for the Eagles.
TEAM COMPARASIONS
The Eagles never trailed as both teams finished the game shooting 48% from the field but Husson held the edge in outside shooting as they shot an impressive 52% from beyond three-point range. NEC turned the ball over 18 times as Husson finished the game with 27 points off turnovers.
NEC held the slight 42-40 advantage in rebounds but Husson got 51 points off the bench.

New England College will be back in action on Saturday, Jan. 30 when they host conference opponent Maine Maritime Academy.
Husson will hit the court again on Saturday, Jan. 30 when they travel to take on Colby-Sawyer College.
