BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University Men's swimming & diving closed out their home portion of their 2015-16 season with a dual meet lost to Saint Joseph's College of Maine, 124-64 at Webber Pool on Saturday afternoon.
THE RUNDOWN:
- The quartet of Alex Miles, Grant Gerber, Caelan Lecrone, and Colin Vidas combined to finish 2nd in the 200 medley relay with a 2:01.45.
- Gerber was 2nd in the 200 free with a new school record of 1:59.62. The previous record was set in 1971 and won the 100 Free (55.21).
- Lecrone finished 2nd in the 50 back (33.29) and 3rd in the 50 fly (29.56).
- Josh DeNicola took 2nd in the 50 breast (39.80), the 200 breast (3:16.58), 4th in the 100 IM (1:36.35) and swam exhibition in the 50 free (35.14).
- Miles placed 2nd in the 100 fly (1:11.88), the 100 back (1:18.32) and 3rd in the 100 IM (1:16.30).
- Vidas won the 50 free (26.09) and took 3rd in the 100 free (58.27).
- Dylan Tremblay placed 3rd in the 50 free (28.19).
- Gerber, Vidas, Lecrone and Tremblay swam together to post a second-place finish in the 200 free relay (1:43.26).
Husson recognized one senior prior to the meet for his accomplishments with the Husson University men's swimming & diving program: Dylan Tremblay.
The Eagles will return to the pool on Saturday, January 30th when they travel to Regis (Mass.) for a 1:00 p.m. tri-meet with Bridgewater State.
