LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Husson University men's and women's swimming & diving teams continued competition at the 2026 ECAC Open Championship on Saturday, highlighted by a strong performance from the men's 200-yard medley relay in the championship final.
Husson's relay of seniors Ryan Emerson, Brady Hand, Sam Peiser and Alex Walsh placed sixth in the men's 200-yard medley relay final, touching in 1:36.09 after posting a 1:35.60 in the morning preliminaries, which set a new program record in the event.
In Saturday morning prelims, Hand led a group of Eagles in the men's 100-yard butterfly with a program record 52.44, while Peiser followed closely behind in 52.58. Freshman Kobe Swett (54.19) and senior Lucas Fendl (54.86) also competed for Husson in the event.
Husson also had multiple swimmers take on the men's 100-yard backstroke during the prelim session, as Walsh posted a 54.14 and Emerson followed with a 54.73.
In Saturday's time trials, Hand also recorded a program record time of 59.91 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
After day two of the championships, Husson sits in 11th place with 66 team points, as competition concludes tomorrow on the campus of Bucknell University.
