Box Score WATERVILLE, Maine --- Husson University remains unbeaten in North Atlantic Conference play with an 84-38 win over Thomas College on Tuesday, January 12 at Larry Mahaney Gymnasium.
Kenzie Worcester scored a game-high 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting for the Eagles (8-3, 6-0 NAC), who shot 47.8 percent (33-of-69) from the field, while Chandler Guerrette added 14. Maegan True pulled down a team-high eight rebounds off the bench.
Jordan Agger-Barnes gave Thomas an early 2-0 lead on a jumper at the 9:36 mark of the first quarter, but Husson responded with 26 straight points over the next six minutes and led 26-2 with 3:32 left in the first quarter.
Kelly Macomber accounted for five of Thomas' eight points in the second quarter, hitting a jumper at the 7:03 mark to make it 34-7. The Eagles, which led 51-13 at halftime, was able to force 15 first-half turnovers and held Thomas without a field goal for a span of six minutes, 46 seconds in the second quarter.
In the first half, nine of 12 players accumulated points for the Eagles. Worcester finished the half with 13 points, Guerrette 11 and Rebecca Young and Victoria McIntyre had eight apiece.
The Eagles extended the lead to 70-27 after three led by six points from Anna McKenzie. Both teams emptied the bench in the fourth quarter.
All 12 Husson players and eight of nine Terriers put up points in the contest.
Husson is on the road the next two games visting Johnson State at 5:30 p.m. Friday and Lyndon State at 1 p.m. Saturday. Thomas returns to their home court Saturday with a 1 p.m. contest against UMaine-Farmington.
