BANGOR, Maine - Sunday was a day of firsts for three members of the Husson women's soccer program.

Alison Boulier scored her first collegiate goal in the 68th minute, and goalkeeper Kayla Gordon posted her first clean sheet and win, giving Eagles' head coach Amanda Cummings her first win at the collegiate level with a 1-0 triumph over St. Joseph (Maine) at Boucher Field.

Husson (1-0-1) finished second in the 11th annual Husson Classic to Western New England because of goal differential as the tiebreaker. The Monks finished third, and Newbury placed fourth.

"I am so excited for our team after today's win," Cummings said. "We have been battling major injuries, but it didn't matter who we put on the field; our level of play didn't drop off. We played as a team, and I just think we are getting better and better every time we step on the field. Again, our defense made very few mistakes, and Ally was able to capitalize and put it away."

Boulier beat St. Joseph (1-2) goalkeeper Michelle Cunha (1-2) from 15 yards out with an assist from Myra Degree.

Gordon (1-0-1) went the distance and made three saves.

Cunha played the entire match and recorded eight saves.

Leah Hibbard tallied a team-high four shots in the win, as Cummings' squad outshot the Monks 17-15 and held an edge in corner kicks 5-3.

Hannah LeBlanc had four shots in the loss.

Husson's Erin Boulier, Katie Cyr and Taylor Fortin were named to the All-Tournament Team along with Western New England's Emma Norden (MVP), Kaitlyn Cummings, Brooke Labrie and Alicia Lewis, Newbury's Elizabeth Fox and Jenni McDonald and St. Joseph's Emily DeLuca, Sarah Comtois and Whitney White.

The Eagles host New England (Maine) on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 4 p.m. ET.
