Bangor, ME- The Husson University women's basketball team held Thomas to just 18 second half points as the Eagles cruised to an 83-48 win on Saturday afternoon in Newman Gymnasium. Husson closes out its regular season with a 17-8 overall record and a 15-3 mark in NAC play. Thomas falls to 3-22 and 2-16. 

The Eagles opened the contest on a 23-6 run, but the Terriers chipped away at the lead to get within 40-30 at halftime. 

Husson shot 48.6% from the field in the first stanza while Thomas shot 42.3%. The Eagles were led by Chandler Guerrette (Presque Isle, ME) with eight points while Thomas was led by Jordan Agger-Barnes with 11 points.

Husson opened the second half with a 10-0 run advancing their lead to 50-30 with 15:44 remaining in the game. The Terriers could get no closer the rest of the way as Husson cruised to the win.

Guerrette finished with a team-high 16 points while Samira Cruz (Orlando, FL) added 15 points and five rebounds. Stephanie Comstock (Bangor, ME) scored 12 points to go with four rebounds and four steals. Agger-Barnes led Thomas with a game-high 19 points. 

Husson shot 47.9 percent for the game while holding Thomas to 29.8 percent. The Eagles scored 25 points of 21 Thomas turnovers while outscoring the Terriers' bench 38-5. 

The Eagles are the second seed for the NAC Tournament, and will play the winner of the Maine-Maritime-New England College matchup on Feb. 27. Castleton is hosting this year's tournament.
