BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University Men's swimming & diving hosted a dual meet with the University of New England Men's club team at Webber Pool on Saturday night. The Eagles won the meet 94-53 for their second-consecutive victory on the season. The victory was the first ever win over the Nor'easters in program history.
THE RUNDOWN:
- The quartet of Alex Miles, Colin Vidas, Caelan Lecrone, and Dylan Tremblay combined to win the 200-Medley relay with a time of 2:09.91.
- Miles was 2nd in the 200-free (2:14.62), and won the 200-back (2:49.85).
- Grant Gerber won the 50-breast (30.46), 200-breast (2:32.41), and 100-IM with a time of 1:02.74 for a new school record.
- Josh DeNicola finished 3rd in the 50-breast (30.46), 200-breast (3:04.25), and 100-IM (1:30.96).
- Vidas won the 50-free (25.98), and 2nd in the 100-free (58.67).
- Lecrone was 2nd in the 50-free (26.91), and 4th in the 100-free (1:03.05).
- Tremblay took 3rd in the 50-free (27.39), and 5th in the 100-free (1:05.20).
- Gerber, Miles, Tremblay and Vidas swam together to post a first-place finish in the 200-Free relay (2:05.34).
The Eagles will return to the pool on Saturday, November 21st when they travel to Saint Joseph's College (Maine) for a 1:00 p.m. dual meet.
