Box Score JOHNSON, VT – Phil Frost (Bangor, ME) notched a pair of goals as the Husson University men's soccer team defeated Johnson State 3-2 on Sunday afternoon. With the win, Husson improves to 6-3-0 overall and 3-0-0 in North Atlantic Conference play while Johnson State falls to 2-6-1 overall and 0-3-0 in league play.
Josh King gave Johnson State the lead in the ninth minute, but Josh Bellomo (Hudson, NH) netted the equalizer in the 15th minute.
Frost gave the Eagles the lead two minutes later off a Stephen Berenyi (Levant, ME) feed but Johnson State tied the game in the 30th minute with a Dominic Caforia tally.
Frost kicked in the game-winner in the 62nd minute off assists from Berenyi and Nic Pare (Keene, NH).
Brian Potter (Waterville, ME) made four saves in net for the Eagles while Alex Pakatar made 12 saves for Johnson State.
Husson returns to the pitch on Wednesday at Bowdoin for a 3:30 p.m. game.
