Box Score BIDDEFORD, ME - The Husson University women's soccer team lost a tough contest at the University of New England by the score of 1-0 on Wednesday evening at Hazard Field in Biddeford, ME. Husson falls to 2-2 on the season while UNE goes to 3-0.
Becca Murphy's goal in the 53rd minute from Edie Pallozzi proved to be the only goal in the match as Husson goalkeeper Anna Wolterbeek (Wells, ME) kept the game close for the Eagles with her six saves on the night.
UNE goalkeepers Emily Richard and Brielle Robinson made a save for UNE.
"We faced a great UNE side tonight, and battled inch for inch with them all game," said Husson head coach Carly Gettler. "Anna was the best I've seen in net for us, and we were really strong across the board."
The Eagles return to the field on Sunday at Saint Joseph's for a 12 p.m. game.
